SSC JE result 2022 for paper-II was released on February 25. Staff Selection Commission released the result and the category-wise cutoff for all the engineering streams. Along with the cutoff, the commission also mentioned the number of candidates available in each category for the document verification process. 1,865 candidates qualified for the document verification phase. For Civil Engineering, 1,294 candidates qualified and for Mechanical/Electrical, 571 candidates qualified for the next phase. The dates and admit cards for the document verification will be released later.  SSC JE Paper-II was conducted on September 26. A total of 5,711 candidates appeared in the exam. 

What is SSC JE?

SSC Junior Engineer (JE) is conducted by SSC for the recruitment of Junior Engineers (JEs) in various branches of Engineering including Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts. The exam is conducted to recruit candidates for Group-B (non-gazetted) posts in level-6 (Rs 35,400-1,12,400) of the pay matrix of the seventh Central Pay Commission.

SSC JE Result

SSC JE final result 2019 was released on January 27, 2022. The commission released the result online in PDF. Along with the result, the commission also released the cutoff of all the categories.

SSC JE Eligibility Criteria

SSC JE eligibility criteria differ from post to post. However, the basic parameters that candidates need to fulfil in order to meet SSC JE 2021 eligibility criteria are:

  • Nationality/Citizenship: A candidate must be either a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan or a Tibetan Refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, or an Indian who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East Africa countries
  • Educational qualification: A candidate should complete his/her degree/diploma in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical engineering as of January 1, 2021
  • Age limit: A candidate should be aged a maximum of 32 years on January 1, 2021

SSC JE Recruitment Process

SSC JE selection process includes the following steps:

Step 1: Fill SSC JE Application Form

Candidates need to visit the official website and fill the SSC JE application form online. To apply, the aspirants first need to register on the official website. Thereafter, candidates need to log into their account and fill-up the form online.

Step 2: Download SSC JE Admit Card

SSC JE Admit Cards are made available for download on the regional websites of the commission. SSC JE Admit Card is an important document containing information related to the exam and candidate. Candidates are advised to preserve the admit cards until the recruitment process is over.

Step 3: Appear for SSC JE exam

The Staff Selection Commission declares the results for the SSC JE exam on its official website. The SSC JE results are released in PDF format for different categories.

Step 5: SSC JE Answer Key

SSC JE 2020-21 Answer Key is released after the declaration of the result. The SSC releases the tentative answer key first and invites objections from the candidates. The final SSC JE Answer Key is prepared after analysing the objections and it forms the basis of the result.  The SSC also released the response sheet along with the answer key. The candidates can download the SSC JE answer key and question paper by logging in with the roll number and password.
