RRB Group D 2022 exam dates for the computer-based test will be announced soon by the Railway Recruitment Boards. Railway Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw, tweeted that the high power committee has received three lakh grievances. He also informed that the high power committee has analysed the representations submitted by candidates. The railway grievances committee has submitted its report to the Ministry of Railways. The Railway Ministry will soon announce its decision regarding whether it will conduct the CBT 2 exam or not. Once the exam dates will be announced, the RRBs will activate the link to check exam cities, exam dates and download free travel authority (For SC/ST candidates) 10 days before the scheduled CBT. The admit card for the exam will be issued four days before the scheduled CBT. 

RRB Group D 2022 CBT 1 exam was put on hold due to the protests by students against the introduction of CBT 2 exam. Earlier, the CBT 1 exam was scheduled to be conducted from February 23, 2022 in multiple phases. 

What is RRB Group D Recruitment?

RRB Group D is a national-level exam conducted by the RRBs on behalf of the Railway Recruitment Cells (RRC). RRB Group D recruitment is a good opportunity for candidates who wish to join the Indian Railways. The recruitment is conducted to select candidates for the various posts in Level-1 of the seventh CPC pay matrix such as Track Maintainer Grade-IV, Helper/Assistant in various technical departments (Electrical, Mechanical, and S&T departments), Assistant Pointsman, and many more. Against 1,03,769 vacancies, over 1.15 crore candidates had registered for RRC Group D 2022 exam. The vacancies will be filled in the following posts and departments.

RRB Group D 2022 New Changes

Some of new changes announced in RRB Group D 2022 recruitment process are given below:

  • RRB NTPC CBT exams will be conducted in two stages-CBT 1 and 2
  • New exam pattern for CBT 2 has been announced
  • RRB Group D normalised process has been revised
  • Candidates 15 times the number of vacancies will be selected for CBT 2
  • For document verification and empanelling, candidates equal to the number of vacancies in the ratio 1:1 will be called subject to qualifying the CBT 2 and PET 
  • The designation of Assistant Pointsman has been changed to Pointsman
  • The post parameters have been revised
  • The medical standards for different posts have been revised

RRB Group D Exam Dates 2022

RRBs have announced RRB Group D 2022 (RRC 01/2019) exam date. Earlier, the exam was scheduled to be held from April to June 2021, but, due to the rise in COVID-19 cases, the CBT dates were postponed. RRB Group D recruitment notification was released in 2019, however, the exam will be taking place in 2022. Initially, the exam was scheduled to be conducted in September-October 2019. However, due to the non-finalisation of the exam conducting agency, the exam could not be conducted.

RRB Group D Admit Card 2022

RRB Group D admit card 2022 for the first stage CBT will be released four days before the exam. To download the admit card from the respective regional websites of RRBs, candidates need to login with user ID and password. RRB Group D admit card is an important document without which candidates will not be allowed to appear for the exam.

RRB Group D Exam Day Guidelines

The exam day guidelines for RRB Group D exam are given below:

  • In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, candidates need to wear masks all the time inside the exam centre. They need to maintain a safe distance from one another
  • Candidates are also allowed to carry hand-sanitiser inside the exam centre
  • Candidates need to carry their RRB Group D admit card along with photo-identity proof to the examination centre
  • Impersonation is prohibited, and strict action will be taken if anyone is found doing so
  • Candidates need to reach the exam centre on time
  • Candidates reaching the exam centre late will not be allowed to appear in the exam
  • No electronic devices are allowed inside the examination centre
  • Copying, cheating, or any other kind of malpractices are prohibited

RRB Group D Application Process

RRB Group D application form was available from March 12 to April 12, 2019. The application fee was INR 500 (for all candidates expected the fee concession categories). The fee for PwBD / Female /Transgender/ Ex-Servicemen candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST/Minority Communities/ Economically Backward Class was INR 250. Candidates could pay the fee both online and offline.

RRB Group D Selection Process 2022

The selection process comprises CBT 1, CBT 2, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), document verification, and medical examination. On the basis of the marks obtained in CBT 1, candidates will be shortlisted for CBT 2. Candidates qualifying the CBT 2 will be called for PET. Based on the performance in CBT 2 and PET, candidates will be called for document verification and medical exam.

RRB Group D Exam Centres
RRB Group D 2022 exam centres are allotted to candidates a few days prior to the exam. To check the exam centres, candidates are required to login with their required credentials. Candidates are required to choose RRB Group D exam centres while filling their application form. Usually, RRBs allot exam centres as per the preferences given by the candidates. In case of a shortage of seats in a particular centre, candidates are allotted to the next available centre.

RRB Group D 2022 Exam Pattern 

RRB Group D exam pattern comprises CBT 1, CBT 2, PET, Document Verification and Medical Examination. According to the RRB Group D exam pattern, the CBT consists of sections, such as General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and General Awareness and Current Affairs. The duration of CBTs is 90 minutes. For each correct answer in CBT, candidates score one mark. There is also negative marking for wrong answers, 1/3 marks are deducted for wrong answers. CBT is held in 15 languages besides English and Hindi. If CBT 2 exam is conducted then candidates qualifying the same are required to undergo the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). This is followed by Document Verification and Medical Examination. The exam structures of CBTs are given below.

RRB Group D Mock Test

The official RRB Group D mock test will be released a few days before the exam. Candidates can take the mock test by logging into their accounts with user ID and password. RRB Group D mock tests are like actual tests and practicing the same helps candidates to understand the pattern of the exam. By taking the mock tests, candidates can analyse their preparations for the exam. It also helps candidates to know their strengths and weaknesses. 

RRB Group D 2022 Question Papers

RRB Group D question papers 2022 for the first stage CBT will be released along with the answer key. Candidates will be released for different shifts of the exam in PDF form. Candidates can also challenge the question papers if they have any doubt with regard to any question.

RRB Group D result 2022 is announced online. The result is made available region-wise in PDF format. Marks obtained by candidates in CBT are normalised to announce the result. The result PDF displays the list of qualifying candidates.

RRB Group D Cutoff

RRB Group D cutoff 2022 will be announced along with the result. The cutoff will be made available in PDF form for different regions, categories, and posts. Besides RRB Group D cut off 2022, candidates need to secure the qualifying marks. The qualifying marks are 40 for the General and EWS categories and 30 for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), SC, and ST.
