IBPS PO 2021 mains result was announced on February 10. The last date to check the result was February 16. IBPS PO 2021 mains exam was conducted on January 22. 

IBPS PO 2022 exam dates have been announced. The prelims exam of IBPS PO 2022 will be conducted on October 15, 16 and 22. The mains exam will be conducted on November 26.

What is IBPS PO?

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection Probationary Officers or IBPS PO exam is conducted every year for recruitment to the post of Probationary Officer/Management Trainee (PO/MT) in 11 Public Sector Banks in India. IBPS CRP PO/MT-XI 2021 exam comprises the preliminary exam, mains exam, and interview. In 2020-21, a total of 6.78 lakh candidates had registered for the exam, out of this, 4.75 lakh candidates had appeared.

IBPS PO Admit Card 2021

IBPS PO 2021 admit card for the interview was released. The admit card has been released for candidates who have qualified the mains exam. To download the admit card, candidates need to login with the registration number or roll number and date of birth or password.

IBPS PO 2021 notification was released on October 19 to fill up a total of 4,135 vacancies for the post of Probationary Officer (PO)/Management Trainee (MT). The notification was released on the official website in PDF form. IBPS PO 2021 Exam Pattern

According to IBPS PO exam pattern, the preliminary exam comprises three sections. The total marks for the test are 100. The mains exam of IBPS PO is conducted for the shortlisted candidates of the prelims exam. The mains exam comprises objective and descriptive-type questions. The total marks allotted to the test are 225. There is negative marking for wrong answers, one-fourth of marks are deducted as a penalty for wrong answers. IBPS PO Interview

Shortlisted candidates of the mains exam are called for the interview, which is conducted by the participating organizations and coordinated by the nodal bank. The interview carries 100 marks. In the interview, candidates are asked questions based on the Banking Sector, Current Affairs, General Awareness, etc. The minimum qualifying mark in the interview is 40 per cent (35 per cent for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates). 

IBPS PO Application Process

IBPS PO 2021 application process closed on November 10. The application form was released on October 20. The application fees were INR 850 for the General and OBC categories and INR 175 for SC/ST/PWBD candidates. 

IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria

IBPS PO eligibility criteria are certain parameters in terms of age and educational qualification. The age limit of candidates for IBPS PO as on October 1, 2021, was between 20 and 30 years. Candidates must have been born not earlier than October 2, 1991, and not later than October 1, 2001 (Both dates inclusive). The educational qualification prescribed for the exam was Graduation.

IBPS PO Recruitment Process

The recruitment process of IBPS PO is explained below:

Release of application form: The application form is released online on the official website. The application process comprises registration, uploading of photograph and signature, filling the detailed application form, uploading left thumb impression and handwritten declaration, and fee payment. 

Issue of admit card: IBPS PO admit card is released online for different stages. Candidates need to download their admit cards by logging with registration number or roll number and date of birth or password.

Appearing in the exam: The exam is conducted in three stages: prelims, mains and interview. Candidates qualifying the prelims exam are called for the mains exam. Based on the mains exam marks, candidates are called for the interview. The final selection of candidates is done based on the mains exam and interview. 

Declaration of result: IBPS PO result is declared online for different stages: prelims, mains and final allotment. IBPS PO Exam Centres

IBPS PO exam centres were released along with the notification. The prelims exam was conducted at more than 200 cities in four shifts. The mains exam was conducted in around 100 cities.

IBPS PO 2021 Mains Exam Analysis

The overall paper of IBPS PO 2021 mains exam was moderate. The English section was easy, however, this year new types of questions based on word interchange were asked in the exam. The Reasoning section was easy. The General Awareness section was easy and maximum questions on current affairs were based on the events that took place in December 2021. Few questions in current affairs were from the September 2021 events. The questions in Banking Awareness were analytical and inference-based. IBPS PO Mains Result

IBPS PO 2021 mains result was announced by IBPS. To check the result, candidates need to enter the registration number or roll number and date of birth or password. The scorecard for the non-qualified candidates will be released soon. The scorecard of the shortlisted candidates will be shared after they appear for the interview.

IBPS PO Cutoff 2021

IBPS PO Cutoff for mains exam will be released along with the scorecard. The cutoff will be released section-wise and category-wise. The maximum marks allotted to the mains exam were 225. Candidates can check below the category-wise mains overall cutoff for 2020.

IBPS PO Exam Day Guidelines 2021

Given below are a few IBPS PO exam day guidelines that candidates need to follow while appearing for the exam:

  • Wearing masks is compulsory while appearing for IBPS PO exam
  • Candidates are allowed to carry hand sanitiser (50ml), pen, gloves, and a transparent water bottle
  • Aarogya Setu app is compulsory on mobile phones
  • Candidates should reach IBPS PO exam centre as per the slot mentioned on their admit cards to avoid overcrowding
  • Candidates are required to carry two passport-size photographs along with the admit card
  • Candidates reaching the exam centre late are not allowed to appear in the exam 
  • Any electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, calculators, pagers, and pen drives are not permitted inside the exam centre
  • Stationery items such as textbooks, papers, pencil boxes, scales, and writing pads are not allowed
  • The biometric impression of candidates is captured at the exam centre, therefore, candidates are advised not to put mehendi on their hand
