Sir I had scored 43.33/100 in GATE XE (engineering sciences) 2022. I belong to EWS category. Can I get a seat in top IIT's with any branch?

There are a variety of reasons why a website may be down, but in this case, it is most probable that the website is experiencing excessive traffic and is not prepared, or that the website is undergoing maintenance. Check after some time.

GATE-XL stands for life Science and GATE-XE stands for engineering Science, you can take any one of these according to your background subjects if it is related to mathematics you can go for XE and if it is related to biology/agriculture you can go for XL.

The students who are graduating from IIT and have a CGPA of 8 or above out of 10, can get direct admission without appearing for GATE. And the students who are not from IIT should have to take 750-780 rank for securing a seat in any branch of IIT Kharagpur through GATE.

Hello Subbu Krishna, I think you should pick up code XL U. This is code for food technology. Right? Food processing will definitely be coveted under it. Best wishes to you.
