DU JAT 2022 dates and notification will release in the month of May. However, the COVID-19 situation might lead to a delay in the DU JAT 2022 notification. From the past two sessions, the DU JAT event schedule has seen delays. DU JAT 2020 application process started on June 20, 2020, while the DU JAT 2021 registration commenced on August 2, 2022. The application process of DU JAT 2022 will end within a month of the registration start date. What is DU JAT?

DU JAT or Delhi University Joint Admission Test is a national level entrance exam conducted for admission to BMS, BBA (Financial Investment Analysis) and BA (Hons) in Business Economics programmes. DU JAT 2022 will aid the admission process 2022-23 of 16 colleges affiliated with Delhi University. National Testing Agency conducts DU JAT in an online mode. The DU JAT question paper is designed to ask questions from Quantitative Ability, Reasoning and Analytical Ability, General English and Business and General Awareness. All the questions in DU JAT are objective type, to be answered within two hours.

DU JAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for appearing in the DU JAT exam are given below:

Qualifying Exam: Candidates must score requisite marks in Class 12 based on their category

  1. General category: 60% aggregate
  2. SC, ST, CW and PwD: 55% aggregate
  3. OBC: 54% aggregate

Key Points to Remember

  1. This aggregate should be based on the candidate's score in four papers – English, Mathematics and two other subjects mentioned in List B (Elective Subjects) of DU UG Admission Information Bulletin
  2. Candidates awaiting Class 12 results can also apply
  3. Eligibility Criteria for merit-based admissions under the EWS category will be similar to that of the UR category

DU JAT 2022 Admission Process

The admission process involves shortlisting candidates based on their DU JAT score and Class 12 Board aggregate. This is followed by document verification and spot allotment of seats.

DU JAT 2022 Exam Pattern

DU JAT question paper comprises 100 multiple-choice questions carrying four marks each. For every incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted. DU JAT 2022 is conducted in a computer-based mode for a duration of two hours. NTA has been entrusted to administer the DU JAT exam. Candidates need to answer multiple-choice questions from four different sections, namely, Quantitative Aptitude, Analytical & Logical Reasoning, General English and Business and General Awareness. NTA is conducting DU JAT in two shifts. Exam under the first shift shall be held from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM. While the second shift will be held from 5 PM to 7 PM. DU JAT Mock Test 2022

The official website of NTA hosts mock tests for all exams conducted by NTA. Candidates, irrespective of their registration status, can take the DU JAT mock test. One needs to register on the NTA portal to take the DU JAT mock test. The mock test portal has previous years question papers embedded for candidates to practise on the actual user interface. After registration, candidates can select the exam name and the question paper year from the drop-down menu and take the DU JAT 2022 mock test.

DU JAT 2022 Admit Card

Candidates completing the DU JAT registration before the last date will be issued the DU JAT 2022 admit card. The admit card od DU JAT 2022 exam is available in an online mode. Candidates need to enter their registration number and date of birth to download the admit card. All the applicants appearing for DU JAT 2022 need to carry a hard copy of the admit card. Candidates will face denial in the entry on failure to carry the DU JAT admit card to the examination centre.

DU JAT Exam Analysis

DU JAT 2020 exam analysis was released after the completion of the exam. The exam analysis of DU JAT provides details regarding difficulty level of exam, distribution of questions, topic-wise weightage, marking scheme and expected cutoff. DU JAT 2022 Question Paper

NTA releases the DU JAT question paper soon after the exam is conducted. Candidates who have appeared for the exam can use the DU JAT question paper and answer key to evaluate their performances. Candidates who will be appearing for DU JAT in the subsequent year can use the previous year's question paper during their preparation phase. The DU JAT question papers are released in PDF format over the candidate login portal. Along with the question paper, test takers are also able to access the response sheet.

DU JAT 2022 Answer Keys

DU JAT 2022 answer keys and question papers have been released online soon after the exam was conducted. Candidates can download the PDF copy of the DU JAT answer key and question papers. Candidates are given an opportunity to raise objections against the DU JAT provisional answer key. The challenges are reviewed and a final answer key is published. NTA considers the answers in the final answer key of the DU JAT exam to evaluate the raw score. 

DU JAT 2022 Result

Candidates are able to check their results on the official website of NTA, i.e. nta.ac.in. Based on the weighted average of the score obtained in the entrance exam and the aggregate obtained in Class 12, ranks are allotted to candidates and a final merit list of selected candidates is prepared. DU JAT Rank List 2022

After the release of results, Delhi University prepares DU JAT rank list. the rank list displays the names of all the candidates who have qualified DU JAT based on the exam scores and best of four per cent. All candidates whose names appear in the DU JAT 2022 rank list will be eligible for participating in the counselling process.

DU JAT 2022 Counselling

The counselling process may be conducted in multiple rounds subject to the availability of seats. Candidates are allotted seats as per their ranks and as per their preferences, subject to the availability of vacant seats in a particular institute. This will be followed by online verification of documents and confirmation of admission. The designated authorities will verify the documents uploaded by the applicant for eligibility. The applicant will be communicated the status of the application on their dashboard.

Confirmation of admission: Candidates who are approved for admission will receive a link on their Dashboard on the UG Admissions portal through which they need to submit the college/course fees. Candidates are required to pay the fees within 24 hours of the approval of admission and save the acknowledgement slip. This fee can only be paid online through the portal.

DU JAT 2022 Exam Day Guidelines

Candidates can check the space below to know the DU JAT exam day guidelines.

  • Carry the DU JAT 2022 admit card to the examination centre
  • Reach DU JAT exam centre at least an hour before the reporting time
  • Avoid carrying electronic devices such as calculators, mobile phones, earphones inside the exam centre

Hii, Mathematics is mandatory subject to pursue BMS programme from Delhi University. So if you do not have Mathematics in class 12th, you are not be eligible to write DU JAT examination. Thanks.

Hii, Hi, Mathematics is very much compulsory for DU JAT. You should have Maths either as an additional subject (6th) or optional subject (5th). It is compulsory only for BMS, BBA FIA and BBE in DU. Both are business management degrees. Thanks.
