Communication Studies is the study of the way we communicate with different audiences/users and communities. Human communication takes place in different contexts and is social, political and media based. Communication Studies involve the creation, delivery and receiving of messages, both verbal and non-verbal. Communication Studies professionals adopt rhetorical strategies and techniques to effectively communicate and analyze messages in the personal interaction and professional spheres. Communication skills allow public relations specialists, educators, advertisers, political consultants, market researchers, writers and editors, journalists and other communication professionals to communicate and disseminate messages in the right context to a wide range of people.

Communication Studies Course Curriculum

Communication Studies is a different, diverse and comprehensive curriculum that helps students understand the world and communication tools in a broader sense. In this course students are introduced to communication skills through a series of seminars, lectures, practical activities, supervision etc. In the first year of this course, students are taught about how communication studies work, the history of communication, and how communication has evolved in different periods and eras. In the second year, students are taught about the different mediums and possible ways of communication in the future.
